Blijf means happy. We were, twice over — we liked the first round enough to order a second.
We had dinner at Blijf — it means happy — and boy, we were.
Nice cocktails to open, with a trio of croquettes and a local beef carpaccio with parmesan and truffle cream.
Then the tapas: meatballs in a peanut sauce, Indonesian in style; beef cubes; prawns in a mayo aioli; pork belly.
And then we liked it enough to order a whole second round. Twice the prawns, spare ribs in the house sauce, and the duck.
All of it accompanied by a few rounds of Grimbergen Tripel.
Super lekker.
